· oligohydramnios
· CDH
· increased incidence of flexible pes planus in later life
· probably result of intrauterine positioning
· foot can usually be completely corrected passively
· foot dorsiflexed
· tibial bow can be palpated
· confirmed with x-ray
· calcaneus in equinus
· deformity can not be corrected
· confirmed with x-ray
· spinal dysraphism
· absence of triceps surae function
· may be cutaneous manifestation on back
· confirmed with spine x-ray
· usually resolves spontaneously
· if severe, treated with regular manipulation
· if fails, may occasionally need plantarflexion-inversion splintage
